NEW YORK (AP) — There will apparently be back-to-back Cinderella stories on Broadway in the coming seasons.

Producers announced Tuesday plans to bring a new musical based on the Drew Barrymore film "Ever After" in the 2013-14 season under the direction and choreography of Kathleen Marshall.

"Ever After" will feature music by Zina Goldrich and a book and lyrics by Marcy Heisle, who also are teaming up for "The Great American Mousical" at the Goodspeed Opera House.

The story is set in 16th century France, where a young noble woman learns to stand up to her scheming stepmother, befriends Leonardo Da Vinci and wins over a French prince.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — With "The Hunger Games" in the rear-view mirror, the ensemble comedy "What to Expect When You're Expecting" just ahead and a 14-month-old at home, Elizabeth Banks is tired.

"I've signed on to being exhausted for the next 25 years," the 38-year-old actress says, kicking off her studded stilettos and settling into a sofa at the Four Seasons Hotel.

That's the price of being a working mom with a successful career that includes starring in three films this year, a recurring role on "30 Rock," a burgeoning production company and various other projects in different stages of development and production.

"I do like to work," she said. "I'm very much a sleep-when-you're-dead person.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ellen DeGeneres, who broke ground in 1997 as the first lead character on prime-time TV to reveal she was gay, is winning the nation's top humor prize.

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced Tuesday that DeGeneres will receive the 15th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. She will be honored Oct. 22 with a lineup of star performers in a tribute show that will be recorded for broadcast at a later date.
